Twins - 6 months

Ok, sorry I'm horrible at blogging lately. No time! Go figure.

Here are some shots of sweet Jonah and Luke. They are the best babies ever. Both rolling over and getting close to sitting. Can't believe they're 6 months, almost 7!

Chair Makeover

Craig and I found this old chair on our date at Goodwill a few weeks ago (isn't that where you go on your dates??) :) Not only was it cheap, it's sticker color was 50% off that day. Love it!

So my amazing mom was up visiting and sanded it...

Then my hunky husband painted it (without me even asking!) ...

And today during nap-time for the twins and room-time for Isaac, I recovered the cushion.

Walaah! Funky chair to add to my collection.

Roundup

We actually rounded up our whole family for a photo at the 24th of July Roundup in St. Johns. Another fun time in Snowflake/St. Johns this year. Thanks Amanda for the photos!

Craig's Bionicle Arm

On Tuesday, Craig underwent another surgery on his arm re: his dirt bike accident from last November. Here he is looking handsome in his lunch lady cap moments before they wheeled him in.

The purpose of the surgery was to remove infection and the old prosthesis (below) and replace it with a porcelain spacer.

Everything went well, but poor Craig had to spend his birthday recovering in the hospital.

A special thank you to our family and friends for their prayers and help getting us through this. We are home now and happy to be here.

3 months.. and we're still alive!

Life is good here on the home front, although I don't find a lot of time to blog. Too busy doing other things like nursing, changing diapers, tummy time, playing trains with Isaac, cleaning the house, laundry, more laundry and even some accounting!

I couldn't help but snap some sleepy shots of the babies today. They are so sweet and precious.

I weighed the twins yesterday and both boys are 16 lbs and change. Jonah is still in the lead at 1/2 a pound bigger than Luke though you can hardly tell when holding them.

I just love these little guys. All you have to do is look at them and they give a huge grin and coo at you. They are the sweetest things that ever lived on this earth. Since Isaac anyway.

They are good eaters. Good sleepers. Happy, content 99.5% of the time. Jonah is sleeping through the night. Luke will fuss a little after 5am but he's getting there. I feel so lucky to be their mama.

No pics of big brother from today because he's hamming it up at the cabin with Grandma. Which is why I had a moment to snap some pictures! Life is good here. Hope it's good for you too!!

Easter

Stop..... Mama Time

I know mother's day has come and gone, but this mother's day felt like it meant 3 times more and I wanted to document it.

First, thank you to my sweet, sweet husband who went to great lengths to make the day special, second to my three little boys who make me a mom and finally, one very special shout out to Jonah for the bath-time surprise.

Isaac, 2 years 8 months

Jonah, 2 months 2 days

Luke, 2 months 2 days

Much love to all the mamas out there.

Da Zoo

Grandma Connie was in town yesterday so we braved the zoo with all 3 boys and had a blast.

Perfect weather: check
Sunscreen: check
Sack lunch: check
Stroller for twins: check
Grandma love: double check

The coolest part was watching Cassie the Tiger eat lunch. She downed that huge chunk of raw meat in no time.... and only feet from where we stood!

Isaac got a kick out of it.

Shash the Bear - we love you. We love you even though you were wet yesterday and we were downwind from you and you were stinky.

Nothing like the zoo with my Grandma!

Lemurs are funny. And because of the movie Madagascar, the song "I like to move it, move it" comes to mind when I see them. :) ha ha
